The fifth Emotion Recognition in the Wild (EmotiW) 2017 Grand Challenge consists of an all-day event with a focus on affective sensing in unconstrained conditions. There are two sub-challenges: audio-video based emotion classification sub-challenge and image based group emotion recognition sub-challenge.

HuMan was present at this event where our project member, University College London by the hand of Nadia Berthouze, introduced on Affective Computing and Health/Wellbeing technology as well as the HuMan project broad aims. She also presented in details the thermal camera-stress detection system published at the Affective Computing and Intelligent Interaction 2017 – ACII’17.

Approximately 20 people from academic and industry sectors attended this conference.
